What do US brands require from a Colombian factory?
Consistency and proof. Brands want verified capacity, honest lead times, quality control they can see, disciplined handling of tech packs, and export documentation that works. Certifications help, but what closes deals is a floor that runs the way you say it runs. That is exactly what the walk verifies.
Your scoresheet shows you which of these signals you already have and which are costing you orders.
How do the walk and the scoring work?
One visit, 60 to 90 minutes, on your floor. We score item by item against the published WestOS Standard: seven stations, written anchors, notes and photos. You get your full private scoresheet and a prioritized fix list. Buyers only ever see ranges and verified claims, never your raw numbers.
The scoresheet is yours to keep whether or not you ever sell through WestOS.
What does verification cost?
Nothing for the founding Medellín cohort. The July 2026 walks are free, and you keep the full scoresheet and fix list either way. We work at cost on both sides today. Mostly, we eat the plane tickets.
No directory listing to buy, no subscription. Just a direct, personal introduction on WhatsApp when a buyer fits.
Do I need export experience or English to start?
No. Export readiness is one station of seven. A low score there doesn’t take you off the list; it goes on your fix list with concrete next steps. And WestOS bridges Spanish and English in the same WhatsApp thread with the buyer, through your first order.
Many strong floors have never exported. That’s a gap to close, not a closed door.
What happens after the score?
You get the scoresheet and the fix list immediately. When a verified buyer’s needs fit your floor, we make a direct, personal introduction on WhatsApp, not a listing in a directory, and we stay in the thread through the first order. Every order delivered through WestOS updates your record automatically.
A growing record is what turns one introduction into the next one.
Do you work with full-package and CMT workshops?
Yes. Full-package (CMT / OEM / ODM), fabric mills for knitting and weaving, trims and supplies, and specialty services like dyeing, printing and finishing. The same published standard applies to every category; the stations adapt to what your floor actually does.
Pick your category in the form below and we’ll walk it accordingly.
Is my workshop too small for US orders?
No. Most of the factories we walk are small. That’s the reality of Colombian confección, and it’s why the shared standard matters. Factories scored against the same rubric can produce together as a network when an order outgrows one floor. A small workshop can grow into US volume without giving up what makes it good.
Your score is what makes that possible. That’s the network we’re building.
